Peoria Riverfront Museum will be a journey
into the past, present, and future. Slated
for completion in 2009 along the Illinois
riverfront in Peoria’s downtown, the
Museum is a collaborative effort of Lakeview
Museum, Peoria Historical Society, African
American Hall of Fame Museum, Peoria Regional
Museum Society, Heartland Foundation, Illinois
High School Association (IHSA), The Nature
Conservancy and you. Located on an entire
city block, Peoria Riverfront Museum will
be home to more than 70,000 square feet
of collections, exhibits, and programs designed
to transport you into many facets of art,
history, science, and nature.

1900's? Take a step back in time and visit
the Apollo Theatre on Main Street in Peoria.
This beautifully restored theater still
hosts operas, plays, seminars, weekly old
movies, and more.
